Happy Father’s Day! I wasn’t a fatherless victim, rather my disobedience through foolish choices and decisions separated me from God and my parents, resulting in loneliness, confusion and insecurity. But for believers led by the Spirit, the apostle Paul wrote:
“So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, ‘Abba, Father.’” 1

Happy Independence Day! I did many things in my youth that I am now ashamed of, including the pain that I caused so many. The apostle Paul wrote,
“But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.” 1

“The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” 1

Rejoice Always! I find it remarkable that some families begin preparing their Thanksgiving meals in October. With that in mind, shouldn’t we also prepare our hearts early by rejoicing?

Happy New Year! It takes 20/20 vision to be happy! The wisest man ever, other than Jesus Christ, King Solomon wrote: “Where there is no vision [redemptive revelation of God], the people perish: but he that keepeth the law [walks in love], happy is he.” 1

Welcome! I quote John 3:16 often, where Jesus tells us how much God loves the world, but how about verse 17, where He tells us that he didn’t come to judge us. If anyone deserves His judgment, it is me, but listen to His words.
“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” 1
So let us praise the Lord that he gave us this wonderful salvation, taking our judgment upon Himself. Trish writes,

Let us not forget the four Greek words for love in God’s Divine Flow: agape is God’s unconditional love, phileo is brotherly love, and eros is erotic love, but storge or kindly affectionate love works with the other loves like the glue holding them together, making our experience of love complete.
