Welcome! I moved to Los Angeles during the Summer of Love in 1967. "Light My Fire" was the hit song by The Doors. I was running in fear of failure, looking for love and acceptance, not realizing I had it all the time back home in Texas. I was lacking the peace of God that only the fire of the Holy Spirit could give! Jesus said:

"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" (John 14:27).

God's Presence Lacking?

As a child growing up in church, I never experienced the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Like the people of Ephesus in the book of Acts, said: "We haven't even heard that there is a Holy Spirit" (19:2). I don't blame the little Methodist Church in Copeville, Texas, because they did all they knew to do to minister to me as a child, even Vacation Bible School every summer. I just never experience the presence of God! Have you heard there is a Holy Spirit? Are you lacking God's presence for peace, comfort, power and boldness?

JESUS desires that you be endued with power from on high [Luke 24:29]. Filled, overflowing and empowered with the Holy Spirit! The power to witness to your neighbor and those around the world! It's time to be saved and do God's work. Jesus baptises with the Holy Spirit and with fire. The baptism of fiery judgment on the unbelieving chaff, but the baptism of God's love on the wheat [Matthew 3:11-12]. Sadly, there is a baptism of judgment on the unrepentant. So repent and be wheat today!

God's Power . . .

It's time to receive power. Jesus told His disciples: "You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me . . . to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8). Today, you don't have to wait for the day of Pentecost for the Holy Spirit to come upon you. So be filled and overflowing with the Holy Spirit today [Acts 2:1-4]! "Whoever calls upon the LORD shall be saved" (Acts 2:21)! I was a whoever when I received Christ on May 23, 1975, and began to overflow with the Holy Spirit the more I yielded to God in humility.

"This Jesus, God has raised up of which you are now witnesses . . . Jesus is exalted to the right hand of God . . . He poured out the Holy Spirit which you now see and hear" (Acts 2:32-33)! Be saved and empowered to witness! "Repent, be baptised, receive the gift of the Holy Spirit . . . the promise is to you and to your children . . . to ALL who are afar, as many as the Lord our God will call . . . be saved from this perverse generation" (Acts 2:38-40). If God can save me, He can save you too!

God's Love, Peace and Joy . . .

The Holy Spirit provides love, peace and joy! The Rolling Stones still cry out, "I can't get no satisfaction!" Bob Dylan admitted in his song, "I'm like a rolling stone, with no direction home." Like Dylan, may all the rolling stones of this world come to know Jesus and find their direction home in heaven. "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing and regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit" (Titus 3:5). Jesus baptises with the Holy Spirit and with fire!

After my crimes, I sought satisfaction through music, hobby and visits, but only the Word, the Blood and the Spirit gave me true love, peace and joy! I was delivered from the guilt and shame of my past! "The love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us" (Romans 5:5). Why not admit too? I'm a sinner in need of deliverance. I believe Jesus was raise from the dead to give me resurrected Life! I confess Jesus as my Lord, Saviour and Righteousness. Holy Spirit Regenerate Me Right Now!

God's Mission For Us . . .

The Holy Spirit sent me forth! "Like a newborn babe, desiring the pure milk of God's Word" (1 Peter 2:2). "God rescued me from the kingdom of darkness, and transferred me into the Kingdom of the Son of His Love" (Colossians 1:13). I grew in Christ by listening to the late Pastor Chuck Smith's teachings on cassettes that I found in the back room of the chapel. Also, my faith was increased by reading through the New Testament every two weeks following along on cassettes. In no time, I was teaching a New Christian Class from a "Christ for the Nations" booklet called, "How to Become a Successful Christian."

My desire was to preach the Word off the cuff, flowing in the Spirit! I believe God gave me the desires of my heart [Psalm 37:4]. The Spirit, Soul and Body revelation answered many questions about my identity in Christ [1 Thessalonians 5:23]. Through Abounding Love Ministries in 1980, books, brochures and cassette messages flowed forth. Distribution begin through the mail into prisons, homes and places around the world. Then, the Abounding Love website came in 1997, plus the podcast and social media today to the glory of God! My prayer is that you'll be rescued and desire to share the Good News too! Even with us, "Go out and preach everywhere, the Lord working with you, confirming the Word with signs following" (Mark 16:20). Go Forth And Tell Someone About The Good News Today!

A Prayer For You . . .

Heavenly Father, thank You for this divine appointment to open my heart to the Good News of Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit, light Your fire in my heart, so that I may know the Truth and be set free from my narrow-mindedness. I repent of my doubts about You, Jesus, and turn to You in faith that You died for my sin, and cleansed me with Your blood and rose from the dead to provide right standing with God and eternal life, even abundant life today. Use me Lord to confess You to others, so that they too may receive You and grow to know You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
