Welcome! I made wrong choices in the '60s that imprisoned me in California for all these years. I walk among the mentally ill, drug addicts and hoodlums who lack spiritual wisdom and power for healing and change. Like me, they chose darkness rather than God's glorious light, love, life and liberty. But still, Jesus seeks out the sinner!

"The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God" (1 Corinthians 1:18, NLT).

The Spirit of Wisdom . . .

The Holy Spirit gives us wisdom to make the right choices and decisions in life. 

My downfall was due to the lack of wisdom. I turned my back in rebellion on the wisdom of my parent's God. In fear and disobedience, I sought love and acceptance in people, places and things, when "Christ is the power and wisdom of God" (1 Corinthians 1:24b). The Holy Spirit provides the power and wisdom to make the right choices. "God has revealed what He has prepared for us through the Spirit . . . so that we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us " (1 Corinthians 2:10, 12).

It's time to Wake Up and receive the power of the Holy Spirit! You too, ". . . will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you" (Acts 1:8a). Like me, "Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is to you, to your children, and to the Gentiles -- all who have been called of God . . . Save yourselves from this crooked generation" (Acts 2:38-40). On May 23, 1975, I raised my hand in the back of the prison chapel, went to the altar and received Christ. My life was changed forever since my decision that day. Today, God is calling you to receive the promise of the Holy Spirit!

The Spirit of Understanding . . .

I was lacking wisdom and understanding, because pride and greed kept me from receiving the Holy Spirit through repentance. Solomon wrote: "Get wisdom! And in all your getting, get understanding" (Proverbs 4:7)! Most of all, we are to understand the value of God's wisdom! "Exalt wisdom, and she will promote you; she will bring you honor, when you embrace her. She will place on your head an ornament of grace; she will deliver a crown of glory to you" (Proverbs 4:8-10). You must understand that your mind is speaking either words of Wisdom from God or lies from demonic spirits.

The Truth is, that as a sinner you are in need of God's redemption and forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ; so Be Sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise today [Ephesians 1:7, 13-14]. "May God give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that your heart will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope God has given to you -- His holy people who are His rich and glorious inheritance" (Ephesians 1:17, 18). WAKE UP! Wisdom and understanding come from God, NOT from this crooked generation! I beg you to receive God's glorious light, hope and inheritance today, so you will be ready to meet the Lord face to face on the day of judgment.

The Spirit of Counsel . . .

My cell is where I find security, safety, solitude and serenity in Christ. The Holy Spirit not only regenerates, but gives counsel "for everyone who calls on the name of the LORD to be saved" (Acts 2:21). The Spirit of counsel brings change by a continual turning from sin to God for healing. In the early church, "All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals, the Lord's Supper, and to prayer. A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous sign and wonders." (Acts 2:42-43).

Whatever your struggle, Solomon said: "Receive my sayings, and the years of your life will be many" (Proverbs 4:10). I am Living Proof! As a result, you too will walk in the way of wisdom. You will avoid the path of the wicked at all cost. You have a choice of two paths before you. The way of wisdom is straight, unencumbered and safe. The way of the wicked is tortuous and marked by violence. One road is a path of light, the other of darkness. One leads to promise, the other to a stumbling destruction [Read Proverbs 4:11-19]. This is the counsel of the Holy Spirit speaking words of wisdom to your heart today. As the Beatles sang "Let it be!"

The Spirit of Power . . .

I was born again in 1975, but wasn't overflowing with power until 1976. I went from being a babe in Christ to planting and watering Gospel seeds; watching God give the increase. Because of His grace, I laid and built upon the foundation of Christ, recognizing that I am the temple of God in Christ, belonging to God [1 Corinthians, chapter 3]. I became a Stewart in God's household managing the message and ministry that God entrusted to me as a disciple of Christ. I learned humility, recognizing that our wisdom comes from God, not pride in ourselves, but rather imitating the apostle Paul with the Spirit of gentleness [1 Corinthians, chapter 4]. "For the Kingdom of God is not in [puffed up] words, but in power" (4:20).

Solomon spoke God's Word of wisdom, saying, "Do not let my words depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For my words are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life" (Proverbs 4:20-23). Your heart refers to your thoughts, choices and emotions. As believers, the Holy Spirit is the "spring of life" within our heart. "This is the same mighty Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, and seated Him in the place of honor at God's right hand . . . And raised us up and made us sit together with Christ in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 1:20; 2:6). God has opened the windows of heaven for you to enter into His throne room presence. Rise up and be seated with Christ today. It's time to Wake Up and receive the power of the Holy Spirit by being born from above! Selah!

A Prayer For You . . .

Heavenly Father, thank You for forgiving my sins and saving me from eternal separation from You. Lord Jesus, I accept Your finished work, especially Your death on the cross as sufficient payment for my sin. I also rejoice in Your resurrection from the dead, showing Your complete victory over sin and death and making me holy and acceptable in God's sight. Thank You for providing the Way for me to have a relationship with my Heavenly Father and eternal life. Thank You for hearing my prayers and sending Your Holy Spirit to heal my emotional wounds through renewing my mind with Your Word. Thank You for my new strength and wisdom to walk in the center of Your will now and forevermore. In Your Most Holy and Precious Name, Jesus Christ. Amen!
