Iranians & Syrians
 The
unfolding of Bible prophecy is taking
place right before our eyes. Iran and
Syria made it public this week [February
21, 2005] that they were forming a 'common
front' against Israel and the West. Although
for years, it has been common knowledge
that Syria is backing terrorist groups
against their enemy, Israel. This week
we see Russian President Vladimir Putin
standing with the Irian/Syria front (Persia),
that is, siding with the Muslim world.
Bible prophecy interpreters,
such as Hal Lindsey, have been saying
this for years. According to Lindsey s
teachings, "Russia will arm and lead
a coalition of Muslim nations by Persia,
into an all-out attack against Israel.
This attack will escalate and draw all
the nations of the world into global war.
The Prophet Zechariah makes it clear that
it is the issue of Jerusalem that triggers
the conflict" (See Zech. 12:2,3 and
chapter 14).
Russia's siding with
Muslim Middle East policy is nothing new.
Their policy has always been to arm the
Muslim nations against Israel and the
United States. According to Lindsey's
Report, 'Russia has agreed-to arm both
Iran and-Syria with-some of the most advanced
weapons. Russia has installed the advanced
36D6 radar system around Iran's nuclear
facilities. This is coupled with the deadly
SA-10 surface-to-air missile system. This
same system is to be installed around
key places in Syria."
Where Bible prophecy
comes into play is that the powers from
the north [Gog, the chief prince of Meshech
and Tubal] , coming against Israel, prophesied
in Ezekiel 38:15,16, is Russia. Gog descended
from Magog, Meshech and Tubal, tribes
from the far north, who became known as
the Scythians, modern ethnic Russians.
Listen to the Prophet Ezekiel concerning
this week's news:
"Son of man,
set your face against Gog, of the land
of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech,
and Tubal and prophecy against him,
and say, Thus says the Lord God: Behold,
I am against you, 0 Gog ... On that
day when my people Israel dwell safely,
will you not know it? Then you will
come from your place out of the far
north, you and many people with you,
all of them riding on horses, a great
company and a mighty army. You will
come up against My people Israel like
a cloud, to cover the land. it will
be in the latter days that I will bring
you against My land, so that the nations
may know Me, when I am hallowed in you,
0 God, before their eyes"
(Eze. 38:2, 3,15,16 NKJV ).
In the coming days, you
will be hearing in the news this prophecy
unfold more and more. This will be a top
priority on President Bush's agenda in
the coming days. It is believed by many
Saints that we are presently experiencing
the events of latter day prophecy as spoken
to the prophets of old that lead up to
the Second Coming of Christ.
If you have not repented
of your sin and received God's gift of
righteousness through Jesus Christ, it
is time to yield to His righteousness
and allow His blood to cleanse you from
all unrighteousness, making Him Lord of
your life.
