Deliverance
King
David was anointed of God to deliver Israel
from their enemies. He proclaimed:
"I have preached righteousness in the
great congregation: lo, I have not refrained
my lips, O LORD, thou knowest. I have not hid
thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared
they faithfulness and thy salvation; I have
not concealed thy lovingkindness and they truth
from the great congregation" (Ps. 40:9-10).
Today, the Internet is a great congregation to
preach the righteousness of God. Righteousness
is a gift that gives us the ability to reign in
life. In other words, we have ability through
Christ's righteousness to rule over immoral thoughts
and practices, and things that consume us emotionally
such as unforgiveness, bitterness, offenses, anger,
and all the works of the sinful nature.
Righteousness comes by the Spirit of grace [God's
ability] through faith in the death, burial and
resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul
says:
"That if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine
heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation"
(Romans 10:10)
Jesus Christ, the seed of David, came 2000 years
ago to deliver us from a defeated life. When we
receive this free gift of righteousness, we begin
to reign with Christ as kings in this life. Because
of righteousness [right standing with God], we
have the ability to stand in God's presence without
the sense of sin, guilt and inferiority, just
as if we had never sinned. At last, sin looses
its hold upon us as grace abounds (Romans 5:17-21).
When we receive Christ, we partake in God's divine
nature (2 Peter 1:4). We are made kings and priests
and joint heirs with Christ. He not only took
the penalty for our sins and gave us His righteousness,
but He gave us power to walk in victory over sin
and the power of the devil.
We owe our deliverance to Jesus Christ alone,
who took our sin upon Himself so we could share
in His righteousness and be saved. Salvation means
deliverance, soundness, health, to give victory,
rescue, liberate, prosper, preserve, wholeness
and more. All these riches are given freely to
us, not because we earned it or deserve it, but
because we are born-again of the incorruptible
seed of God (1 Peter 1:23).
Again King David says:
"Great deliverance giveth he to his
king and shewth mercy to his anointed, to Dave,
and to his seed forever" (Ps. 18:50).
We possess this great deliverance prophesied
by King David because God has anointed His seed
to reign (1 John 2:27-29). Say out loud with your
mouth, "I have burden removing and yoke [bondage]
destroying results because I am anointed of God."
(See Isaiah 10:27).
It's time to stand up and reign in life through
the power of the Holy Spirit. He has given you
the ability to walk in the Spirit. It's time to
raise up your banner and declare Jesus King of
kings and Lord of lords.
Rejoice with the Apostle John in praise, saying:
"Unto him that loved us, and washed us from
our sins in his own blood. And has made us kings
and priest unto God and his Father; to him be
glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen"
(Revelation 1:5b-6).
I urge you to spend time getting to know the
delivering power of the Good News of Jesus Christ.
He is your sole solution for true freedom. "If
the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall
be free indeed" (John 8:32, 36)
