What a joy to share another monthly view with you whom God loves. One of my favorite verses is John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

My life began to change in 1975, when I overheard a visitor quote John 3:16 to another prisoner. I believe this word from God will change your life, too. Here is what the Lord showed to me:

  • Word of God: “God so loved the world…”
  • Blood of Jesus: “…that He gave His Son…”
  • Faith in the Blood: “…that whosoever believes in Him [Jesus]…”
  • Everlasting Life: “…should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

The Holy Spirit reveals God’s love, sparks faith in the cleansing blood of Jesus, and He gives us everlasting life.

“God showed how much He loved us by sending His one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him. This is real love – not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” [1]

Word of God…

The bible is God’s love story, “…God so loved the world…” He loves you with an everlasting love. This is real love, unlike the love of the world that many of us were chasing for too long.

  • The love of a partner…
  • The love of music…
  • The love of sex…
  • The love of drugs, etc…

These are never everlasting, but instead leave us lacking. The sense of lack never satisfies, but leaves us experiencing a void in our lives. Those who receive Christ, like myself, testify that our void has finally been filled with God’s love.

How about you? Are you experiencing a void of love in your life?

The LORD desires to fill your void with His love, so you can rest in His love. Won’t you receive His sacrificial love for you today?

Blood of Jesus…

His sacrificial love is “…that He gave His only begotten Son…” on the cross for our sin. The apostle Paul writes:

“But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, He will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of His Son while we were still enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of His Son. So NOW we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.” [2]

All this scripture may be a lot to swallow in one sitting, but this is Good News for us. When God removes our sins, He does a great job! “He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.” [3]

Let us rejoice by saying, “Thank you, Father, for making Christ, who never sinned, to be an offering for my sin, so that I could be made right with God through Christ.”[4]

Faith in the Blood…

Thus far, I have shared God’s grace and love with you. An acrostic for the grace is God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense, but for “…whosoever believes in Jesus.”

“So faith comes by hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.” [5]

  • Faith in Christ’s Blood
  • Faith Righteousness
  • Faith in Your New Identity
  • Faith in the Good News
  • Faith in God’s Love

As your faith increases and the LORD opens your heart, life up your hands and receive all that He has to give. Rejoice as you meditate on the following verse:

“For if by one man’s [Adam’s] offense death reigned [ruled] through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace, and of the gift of righteousness will reign [rule] in life through the One, Jesus Christ.” [6]

Everlasting Life…

In the 60’s, spiritual death ruled my life and today I am suffering the consequences of sin. But because I am one of those who received abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness, I now reign in life through Jesus Christ. Also, I “…should not perish, but have everlasting life.” For those who believe:

If you aren’t a believer today, the LORD is asking you to REPENT, that is, to have a change of mind about Jesus Christ. Instead of rejecting Him, you must now receive Him in order to be saved through believing in your heart for right standing with God – righteousness.

A Confession For You…

Heavenly Father, You say that, “…if I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that God raised Him [Jesus] from the dead, I will be saved. For it is by believing in my heart that I am made right with God, and it is by confessing with my mouth that I am saved. As the scriptures tell us, ‘Anyone who trusts in Him [Jesus] will never be disgraced.’ Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on Him [Jesus]. For ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’” [8] I call on Your name, Lord! Amen
